RICHMOND, Va. — The King of Pops needs your help. Paul Cassimus, who runs the homemade Popsicle shop, is looking to beautify his West Clay Street building with a mural. The problem is, he cannot afford it. That is why Cassimus created a Kickstarter campaign to raise the more than $5,000 needed for artist Hamilton Glass to paint a mural on his building.

“This project all started with a simple idea to get a mural on the Pop Factory,” Cassimus said. “The building is old but very well maintained with beautiful brick. We don’t want to paint on this building so we came up with a solution to paint on panels and to incorporate the brick itself as a sort of canvas. The funds will be used to support our wonderful artists and pay for their time and materials to create something beautiful.”

People who donate $150 or more to the cause could get a Pop named after them. People who donate $500 or more get their own private Pop party.
