Armed robber holds up Chesterfield convenience store

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Police released a surveillance photo Sunday night after a man robbed a convenience store in Chesterfield County earlier in that evening.

Lt. James R Lamb with Chesterfield Polices said officers were called to a robbery at the Stop and Save Store at 13900 Jefferson Davis Highway around 5:30 p.m.

Police said the man walked into the store, pulled out a gun and demanded money.

The suspect ran off with an unknown amount of money, according to police.

No one was injured, Lamb said.

Police described the suspect as a white male, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing between 140-160 pounds.

The man was last seen wearing a gray bandanna over his nose and mouth, black winter hat, blue hooded sweatshirt with dark blue stripes, gray sweatpants and black shoes.
