HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — A truck loaded with 40,000 pounds of sweet potatoes ran off Interstate 295 and overturned in Henrico overnight.
The crash, near 895 (mile marker 25), did not cause much of a traffic delay since the truck ran off the road and away from the travel lanes. The left lane was closed for clean-up.
“The north left shoulder and left lane are closed,” an alert of 511Virginia.org read. “There is mud in the left lane.”
The crash was reported at about 4:05 a.m., police said.
No one was hurt in the crash.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
