RICHMOND, Va. — Eight workers from Central Transport, a trucking company on North Hopkins Road, were taken to the hospital for evaluation following a HAZMAT chemical spill at the South Richmond facility. The incident happened just before 10 a.m., Richmond Fire spokesman Lt. Chris Armstrong said.
The spill happened on the dock and was contained to that area, Armstrong said. The chemical was identified and neutralized and does not pose a threat to anyone else in the area, he added.
This continues to be a developing story.
