RICHMOND, Va. — The fire that burned a Hillside Court apartment Thursday morning started on a mattress, Richmond Fire investigators said. No one was hurt in the fire. The flames were contained to one room inside the Southlawn Avenue apartment.
Richmond firefighters were called to the apartment at about 4 a.m. Thursday. The exact cause of the fire remained under investigation.
