CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. —  Walmart wants to hire up to 95 full and part-time workers for its new Walmart Neighborhood Market. The new store is expected to open this winter at 5700 Hopkins Road in North Chesterfield.

“Walmart is a company with many opportunities for professional growth, and we are excited to find new associates for our team,” store manager Jason Beck said.

Anyone interested in working for Walmart can apply online or at a temporary hiring center which opened at 7138 Hull Street Road, Unit 15.

The temporary hiring center is open:

  • Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday and Thursday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday 8 a.m. to noon.

“Through Walmart’s Veterans Welcome Home Commitment, the company will offer a job to any qualified veteran who has been honorably discharged within the past 12 months,” the company said in a statement. More information on that program can be found here.

Walmart said most of the new hires would be expected to work in January in order to get the new store ready for its grand opening.
