HENRICO COUNTY, Va. – A child was checked out for injuries after an accident outside Pinchbeck Elementary School on Gaskins Road.
Initially a police spokesman, who was not on scene, said the accident involved a school bus and a vehicle, however Henrico County Schools spokesman Andy Jenks said no school buses were involved and the accident happened after buses left school for the morning.
Police later confirmed no school buses were involved in the accident. The accident scene was cleared by 9 a.m.
Police said a child in one of the vehicles reported she hurt head in the accident, but added the injuries were likely not serious enough to warrant a trip to the hospital.
The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation.
