RICHMOND, Va. -- Skies will be mostly sunny this afternoon. Highs will be in the mid to upper 50s, at a time of year when 47 is our normal high.

Tonight will be partly cloudy with lows in the upper 20s and lower 30s.

A system will approach on Friday, increasing the clouds during the day. Highs will range from the upper 40s to the mid 50s. Showers will move into the area, mostly towards late afternoon. Rain will exit around or slightly after midnight.

It will be a cooler weekend with highs back in the mid to upper 40s. A disturbance will cause a few scattered showers Saturday afternoon and evening, and a few wet flakes are possible north and west. Sunday will be partly cloudy.

Highs will be in the 40s Monday and Tuesday, and around 50 on Wednesday.
