RICHMOND, Va. β€” A cold front will bring a chance of showers tonight, mainly between around midnight and 5 a.m. Rain chances are higher north and northwest of Richmond, and fairly low in southeastern Virginia. Lows will be in the 50s.

Saturday will be mostly sunny and warmer with highs in the low to mid 70s.

Sunday will be variably cloudy. There is a chance of showers in the morning, and again towards evening. Highs will range from the upper 60s to the mid 70s.

The coldest air of the season thus far arrives Monday into Tuesday. Highs will be 45-50, with lows in the 20s to around 30 Tuesday morning. Richmond International Airport will experience its first low below freezing this fall, and a hard freeze will occur in outlying areas.

Temperatures will moderate fairly quickly, with highs back into the lower 60s Wednesday.
