LANCASTER COUNTY, Va. -- Virginia State Police are urging Lancaster County residents to avoid travel as crews work to clear roads impacted by Tropical Storm Isaias.

The National Weather service says a tornado touched down in the county Tuesday morning, causing property damage and power outages.

Several roads are still closed due to debris and fallen trees.

There is no word on injuries at this time.

Virginia State Police say they are working with the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office, VDOT and Dominion Energy to check on Lancaster County and Northern Neck residents and properties impacted by Isaias.
