HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed early Tuesday morning in Henrico's West End.
Police were called to an apartment complex along the 9500 block of Crown Court, near Gaskins Road and West Broad Street, at about 12:33 a.m. Tuesday.
"First responders arrived on the scene and determined a juvenile male was shot," a Henrico Police spokesperson said. "The victim, a 17-year old male, has succumbed to the injuries received."
Police have not released the teenage victim's name.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
Police have not yet mentioned a shooting suspect.
"As Detectives investigate the details leading up to this incident, we count on tips from you - our community," the Henrico Police spokesperson continued. "If you saw something or heard anything relating to this incident, no matter how small the details are, we want to hear from you."
