Police identify woman killed in Chesterfield crash

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. – Police have identified the woman killed Monday after striking a tree in a single vehicle crash in Chesterfield County.

The crash occurred in the westbound lanes of Ironbridge Rd at the Route 288 overpass around 9:04 p.m.

“Police said a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Jasmine Sellers Grant, 26, was traveling west on Iron Bridge Road when it ran off the left side of the road into the median. The vehicle overcorrected and crossed all westbound lanes before striking a tree,” said a police spokesperson.

Sellers Grant, of Richmond, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police continue to investigate the crash.
