One killed in three-car accident on I-95

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- One person was killed Thursday in a three-car accident on I-95 South in Chesterfield County.

Around 4:20 p.m., police responded to a crash with a confirmed fatality on I-95 South, south of Willis Road.

Police say that a man driving a Ford F150 was driving on I-95 when he veered right, striking a Chevrolet Silverado. The F 150 then veered back to the right crossing all three lanes of traffic when it was struck by a tractor trailer hauling a farm tractor in the right lane.

The driver of the Ford F 150 was not wearing his seat belt and died at the scene. The adult male drivers of both the tractor trailer and Silverado were wearing their seat belts.

They did not sustain injuries.

An update will be provided once next of kin notification has been made.
