GOOCHLAND COUNTY, Va. -- The Goochland Drive-In Theater will screen "42" this weekend to celebrate the life of its late star Chadwick Boseman, who died at the age of 43 after battling colon cancer.

This comes one day after the theater announced they could no longer show "Black Panther" this weekend after Disney Studios, for reasons unknown, decided to no longer let theaters show the film.

On Friday and Saturday, the GDIT will show "42" featuring Boseman on the main screen as the first of a double feature beginning at 8 p.m. Gates will open at 5:45 p.m.

Admission is $25 per vehicle with a maximum of 7 people.

Owners say a portion of proceeds from the showings will benefit the American Cancer Society to honor Boseman and the many others who have bravely fought cancer,

The GDIT continues to operate at reduced capacity. Social distancing is in effect.

You must order tickets online.
