A.J. Nwoko is an award-winning multimedia journalist who has worked in broadcast television for over 10 years.
After earning a bachelor's degree in Electronic Broadcast Journalism and Music from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he began his career as a news photographer in Charlottesville. He then found his way to Richmond where he has since developed a passion for highlighting important issues and uplifting the voices of people across the Commonwealth.
His career has taken him all over the country, covering stories from the 2017 Charlottesville riots, to covering multiple hurricanes in Florida, but A.J.'s focus lies in telling stories about everyday people in his community doing extraordinary things. He'd love to tell your stories next.
When A.J. isn’t working, you can find him running all over Richmond, drawing cartoons, and writing and playing music.
