CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — While the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos prepared to play on Super Bowl Sunday, a man wearing Washington Redskins gloves stole money and cigarettes from a Chesterfield store. The man, police said, robbed ABS Cigarettes on Robious Road at about 11:20 a.m. Sunday.
“The suspect entered the business, displayed a knife and demanded money from the register and cigarettes. Upon receiving cash and cigarettes, the suspect fled,” a Chesterfield Police spokesperson said. “No one was injured during the incident.”
Police described the robber as a thin, 6-foot-tall black man with a mustache.
“He was wearing a black hood over a tan hat, a camouflage jacket, black jeans, tan Timberland boots, black sunglasses and gloves bearing the Washington Redskins logo,” police said. “He was carrying a black bag.”
