RICHMOND, Va. -- Two men robbed a South Richmond convenience store and a customers inside the store at gunpoint early Tuesday morning, according to Richmond Police. The initial robbery call at the Fas Mart on Semmes Avenue came in at 1:17 a.m.
The two suspects burst into the store wielding a gun and a knife, police said. The men got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
"Two armed black male suspects whose faces were partially covered entered the store and demanded money. One suspect had a handgun and the other was armed with a knife," Richmond Police spokeswoman Susan Rowland said. "The pair took cash from the business and robbed the only customer inside the store. They then fled on foot. No one was injured."
Surveillance photos of the robbery suspects were released later Tuesday morning.
"The first suspect is described as a 6-foot tall light-skinned black male with a skinny build, approximately 30 years old, who was wearing a black T-shirt, black jeans and a black baseball cap at the time of the incident," Richmond Police spokeswoman Susan Rowland said. "The second suspect is described as a 5-foot, 8-inch tall dark-skinned black male, age 24-25, with a medium build wearing black shorts and no shirt."
