RICHMOND, Va. — The family of William “Billy” Barham created a GoFundMe account to help support Barham’s sons Ryan and Christian after their father’s sudden death. Billy Barham, 43, was killed June 15 while working on the roof at the Collegiate School in Henrico. He was placing a joint on the roofing when his saw misfired and fatal struck him, according to witnesses on scene.

“Billy was a loving father and his two sons meant everything to him,” a message on the GoFundMe page read. “He will be missed immensely by his surviving family members and friends.”

The GoFundMe account has raised more than $16,000 in the eights days since it was first established.
