RICHMOND, Va. — In an effort to promote Virginia-made spirits, Virginia Tourism and the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control have teamed up to give away “Virginia is for Lovers” trucker hats with the purchase of certain bottles of liquor and wine.
“The extremely popular Virginia is for Lovers trucker hats that will be handed out with every purchase of a 750mL or larger size product made in Virginia. The purchase of any Virginia-made product only available in a size smaller than 750mL will also receive a hat. These giveaways apply to Virginia wine and spirits only,” according to a press released from Virginia Tourism.
The hats are only available at five Virginia ABC stores. The only store in Central Virginia is the ABC store located at 10 North Thompson Street in Richmond’s Carytown neighborhood. The other locations are: 1244 Richmond Road in Williamsburg, 405 30th Street in Virginia Beach, 175 Lee Highway in Warrenton and 436 East Maple Avenue in Vienna.
“Teaming with Virginia ABC is a great way to showcase the great products Virginia has to offer,” Virginia Tourism President and CEO Rita McClenny said. “Virginia ABC stores carry a wide selection of Virginia wines and spirits that are perfect for any occasion.”
The trucker hat promotion runs until Labor Day.
