HOPEWELL, Va. – Police said they had a suspect in mind following the weekend vandalism of a school bus parked outside Hopewell High School. No further details about the suspect have been released. Police said that the two holes discovered in the windows of bus number eight came from a BB gun.
A veteran bus driver, who spoke with WTVR CBS 6 on the condition of anonymity, said that there has been an uptick in vandalism since Hopewell leaders decided to have the buses parked on school property. Police said they were investigating.
Two students were arrested in Januaryfor allegedly shooting up several buses at the school. The teens were charged with felony vandalism, trespassing on school property and discharging a BB gun within city limits.
