RICHMOND, Va. -- Police released video that showed a van hit another vehicle (which then hit a GRTC bus) along the 1500 block of Leigh Street. Police released the video hoping someone would recognize the driver involved in the April 7 crash.

"The suspect left the vehicle before quickly returning to collect some belongings. The suspect then walked away from the scene of the accident on Leigh Street and turned southbound on Lombardy Street," Richmond Police advised. "Injuries were reported from the two vehicles that were struck. The injuries are not considered life threatening."

Police described the driver as a black man in a white t-shirt, jeans and a cap.

"The striking vehicle was a red Toyota van. The van has been impounded and remains part of the investigation," police said.

Anyone with information was asked to call Crash Team Sergeant Scott Jones at (804) 646-1369 or call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
