RICHMOND, Va. -- The one person who was unaccounted for after a fire destroyed a home along the 2200 block of Lamb Avenue in North Richmond Friday morning was located Friday afternoon. The man, investigators said, was at a family member's home. The intense house fire melted the siding of a next door neighbor's home. The owner of the home called the previously unaccounted for man a "longtime friend" and former military man.

Richmond Fire crews were called to the Lamb Avenue home at about 6:35 a.m.  When fire crews arrived at the home, the house was described as "fully involved." The fire was marked under control at 7:24 a.m.

Neighbors told CBS 6 reporter Jake Burns that at least three people lived in the home. Fire investigators have not said whether or not anyone was inside the house when the fire started. One neighbor told Burns it looked like the whole block was on fire.

Investigators said they believe the origin of the fire was near the back of the house.  The first and second floors on the back left corner of the home were completely burned through, firefighters said.

This is a developing story.
