Longtime Prince George County Supervisor Henry Parker dies after illness

PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. — Prince George County Supervisor Henry Parker passed away Monday morning, a county spokesman posted on Facebook. The 76-year-old supervisor died after an extended illness, the post continued.

“Prince George County has lost a dedicated public servant in the passing of Supervisor Henry Parker. For over 30 years on the Board of Supervisors, he was an advocate for providing the best quality of life for the citizens of Prince George County,” County Administrator Percy Ashcraft said. “As a lifelong resident, Mr. Parker loved everything about Prince George County and his life touched scores of people as an elected official, businessman and community supporter. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones and employees and the extended County Government family he leaves behind.”

Funeral arrangements have not yet been finalized.
