HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — One person suffered a minor injury while escaping a burning home in Henrico County early Friday morning. That person was one of three family members who made it out of the house fire alive, according to Henrico Fire spokesman Capt. Daniel Rosenbaum. Henrico Fire crews were first alerted to the house fire along the 4900 block of Chapman Lane at about 3:20 a.m.
“First arriving units reported fire from the front of the residence. Initial fire attack crews learned that the entire family of three adults had made it out of the house safely,” Capt. Rosenbaum said. “Fire attack began at the exterior of the structure with a quick fire attack and moved to the interior. The fire was marked under control at 3:56 a.m.”
The home suffered significant fire damage. The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
“Six engine companies, two specialty service units, two fire medic units, and two command staff were assigned to the call for service,” Capt. Rosenbaum said. “Three adults will be displaced for a short period of time due to the fire.”
