HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — In less than two years, local shoppers will have the option to buy groceries at Wegmans and outdoor gear at Cabela’s. Those stores will be two tenants at the new West Broad Marketplace in Short Pump near the Henrico-Goochland line.
County officials and developers broke ground at the shopping center’s future site, on farmland adjacent to Strange’s Florist & Garden Center, during a Wednesday morning ceremony.
Construction at the site is expected to last the entire year. Wegmans is scheduled to open in June or July 2016, the Cabela’s in April 2016.
