RICHMOND, Va. — Virginia Commonwealth’s freshman trio of Justin Tillman, Terry Larrier, and Michael Gilmore combined for 32 points off the bench last night as the Rams blasted the Belmont Bruins 78-51. In just 17 minutes of play, Tillman went 7-8 shooting on his way to a game and career-high of 16 points. But two of the forward’s points nearly tore the house down.
Not only did the dunk send fans into a frenzy–it also made ESPN’s Sportscenter Top 10 countdown ranking in at no. 4.
The Rams return to the hardwood on Saturday, Dec. 20 at 2:00 p.m. in Cincinnati in a showdown against the Bearcats.
