RICHMOND, Va. — A fund has been set-up to help pay for the funeral of two-year-old O’ustin Spratley.

Spratley died after he was taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon.  Spratley’s death was later ruled a homicide and Richmond Police arrested the boyfriend of Spratley’s mother.

Kevin L. Webb, 43, was charged with felony child abuse and malicious wounding.

Webb and Spratley lived together on Oakhurst Lane at the Morningside Apartments.

“She was a nice lady, a hard working lady, who did not deserve this,” Morningside Apartments assistant property manager Lateea Butler said. “The baby was always so happy.”

Butler and management at the Morningside Apartments set up the online fund for the family. Click here to contribute.

“Baby Spratley was only two years old, but was the happiest baby. His beautiful eyes lit up the room,” the fundraising page stated. “Baby O’ustin has now gained his wings. He leaves behind his mother and two older sisters.”
