RICHMOND, Va. -- Skies will remain mostly cloudy this evening, with patchy fog and drizzle developing overnight. Tuesday will be mostly cloudy and mild with most areas staying in the mid to upper 60s. Light rain will be possible Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, with partial clearing by Wednesday afternoon.

Rain will develop early Thursday and will overspread all parts of Virginia during the day as post-tropical Zeta moves through the region. The rain could be heavy at times, with 1 to 2 inches of rain possible through midday Friday.

Strong high pressure will settle into the region Friday night through the weekend, bringing cool and dry conditions for Halloween night. Daylight Saving Time comes to an end Sunday morning at 2 AM. We “fall back” an hour, which means an extra hour of sleep. :)
