RICHMOND, Va. -- Flash flooding remains our greatest concern as we have another chance of rain showers and storms during the day. Highs will be warm and muggy in the low to mid-80s.

An upper-level disturbance will bring an added element of lift to the region on Saturday into Sunday, with likely chances for rain in most of the area.

We'll finally get a break from the rain Monday and Tuesday, as chances for showers and storms will be much lower. The pattern will become a little more favorable for rain by the middle and end of next week.

Tropical Storm Josephine formed this morning, becoming the earliest "J" storm on record. Josephine will likely maintain tropical storm strength for a few days but should weaken to a depression thereafter as both wind shear and dry air interact with the cyclone.
