RICHMOND, Va. - It's another cold start this morning with temperatures in the 30s/40s. Skies will be partly sunny today with a high near 70. A deep upper-level trough over the eastern U.S. will be replaced by a ridge, resulting in a big warm-up later this week. Highs will reach the mid 80s on Friday, with upper 80s and a few 90s likely Saturday through Monday. A cold front will move through the area on Monday, bringing a brief cool down on Tuesday. The ridge will redevelop next Wednesday, bringing the heat back to the region. Rain chances will be slim over the next 7 days.
