RICHMOND, Va. -- Our unsettled weather pattern will continue for the next few days.
Coastal flood warnings continue into Thursday as strong high pressure over the New England coast results in a persistent onshore east-northeasterly wind.
A flash flood watch is in effect for southwestern VA, where periods of heavy rain with occur associated with a stalled upper-level low over central Tennessee.

Shower chances will increase a bit today, with the highest chance for rain west of I-95. Highs will be in the 60s.
The cut-off low over Tennessee will move finally move through our area Thursday night into Friday. This will produce occasional showers with the chance of thunder. Highs Friday will be 75-80.
Saturday we'll still have the chance a few scattered showers and storms. Highs will be around 80.
