RICHMOND, Va. -- Today will be another hot and very humid day, with highs in the low 90s, and heat index values approaching 100 degrees. Scattered thunderstorms are possible as weak upper-level energy approaches the area from the west. Tomorrow will be very warm and humid, with likely chances for storms as a cold front slowly moves through the region. Severe weather will be possible both today and tomorrow afternoon. An upper-level trough will dig into the Mid-Atlantic this weekend, and will remain in place for much of next week. This pattern will result in below normal temperatures as well as at least a low chance of rain each day. Hotter and drier weather is expected over Father's Day weekend.
