RICHMOND, Va. -- Very humid, tropical air will remain in place, and will result in an unstable atmosphere today and Friday as an upper-level storm system approaches from the west. There will be showers early this morning and scattered thunderstorms this afternoon with high temps in the mid 80s. A few severe thunderstorms will be possible each day. This system will merge with a northern stream upper trough and move through the area Friday night into early Saturday, with the associated cold front bringing an end to the rain by midday Saturday. Expect dry and mild weather early next week, with another chance of rain on Wednesday. Stay With CBS 6, The Weather Authority.
