RICHMOND, Va. -- River flood warnings remain in effect for parts of the CBS 6 viewing area.

Skies will be partly cloudy tonight, and it won’t be quite as cold as last night. Overnight lows will be in the 30s.

The clouds will thicken tomorrow and a few showers are possible during the afternoon. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 50s to around 60. Rain will increase in coverage and intensity over the area Monday night. It will then taper to a few showers by Tuesday afternoon. Temperatures Tuesday should reach the low 60s in the afternoon.

Wednesday will be cooler with highs in the low 50s. There will still be a lot of clouds around and the possibility of a few showers, especially to the west of Metro Richmond.

More rain is on tap Thursday, before much drier and colder air arrives to finish the week. Highs on Friday will be in the low 40s.

We’ll start next weekend on a chilly note, but with plenty of sunshine on Saturday. The clouds and rain chances will return next Sunday.
