RICHMOND, Va. -- Today will be a mostly sunny, breezy, and cooler with highs in the mid and upper 50s.
Cloud cover will increase Friday as the first in a series of upper-level troughs approaches the region. Rain will move into central Virginia Friday evening, and could be mixed with wet snow at times overnight before turning to all rain. Intermittent showers will continue through at least midday Saturday. Another round of rain will arrive midday Sunday, with scattered showers Sunday night through midday Monday.
A final wave of rain will be possible late Tuesday through midday Wednesday, with a drier weather pattern setting up for the rest of the week.
