RICHMOND, Va. -- Expect increasing clouds and cool conditions today, with highs in the upper 40s and low 50s. Rain will overspread the area from southwest to northeast, arriving in the Richmond area a little before sunset, with scattered showers continuing overnight into Saturday morning. The greatest concentration of rainfall Saturday will be in the morning, with only scattered activity in the afternoon. High temperatures should reach the low to mid 50s in most areas.

Another round of rain will arrive Sunday, and should taper off early Monday. With some dry hours during the day Sunday, we could hit or exceed 70°. We’ll get a break from the rain Tuesday, but another wave of rain is likely next Wednesday.
