RICHMOND, Va. -- A very warm and humid air mass will remain in place tonight through Friday, with dew point temperatures in the upper 60s and low 70s. An upper-level disturbance over Arkansas this afternoon will move eastward on Friday, bringing lift to the area and more shower and thunderstorm activity. A few storms could be severe, with damaging wind gusts and possibly a brief tornado. A cold front will move through the area midday Saturday, bringing the rain to an end, and ushering in milder and drier weather. Sunday through Tuesday will feature plenty of sunshine as well as low humidity. Another cold front will bring a chance of rain to the area next Wednesday and Thursday.
