Gusty winds and cool air moving in

RICHMOND, Va. -- The wind will be gusty at times overnight in the wake of a cold frontal passage. A shot of chilly air is moving in, and lows will be in the mid 30s, with some low 30s to the north and west of Richmond, with low 40s along the coast.

Monday will be mostly sunny, breezy and cool, with highs in the low to mid 50s. Monday night will be cold again with lows in the low and mid 30s.

Tuesday will bring more sunshine and afternoon highs in the low 60s. Lows Tuesday night will be in the upper 30s and lower 40s.

The rest of the week will be dry with a continued warming trend. Highs will get back into the 70s, and lows will rise into the upper 40s to around 50.

In the tropics: Tropical Storm Eta is in the central Caribbean, tracking to the west. It is expected to strengthen into a hurricane and make a potential landfall in Nicaragua later Tuesday. More info is available in the CBS 6 Interactive Tropical Tracker.
