RICHMOND, Va. -- Rain is moving into Virginia from the southwest. Scattered showers and periods of rain will move through the Richmond Metro area late into the morning. The threat for rain will be highest Friday afternoon into Saturday morning. There will just be the chance for a few scattered showers Saturday afternoon. It will be warmer with highs in the upper 70s.
Although an isolated storm is possible, the majority of Sunday will be dry and warmer with highs back into the 80s.
Another system will bring a chance of rain Monday into early Tuesday. A strong cold front is expected by the middle of next week, bringing a chance for thunderstorms followed by milder air to the region.
There are currently no significant tropical disturbances in the Atlantic Basin.
