RICHMOND, Va. -- It will be clear and cold tonight, with lows in the 30s. Our coldest outlying areas could dip to or a little below freezing.

Sunday will start off bright and sunny, but clouds will increase during the afternoon. It will be warmer with highs in the upper 60s and low 70s.

Rain will return to the area later Sunday evening and Sunday night, and last into the first half of Monday. Rain will be steadiest in far southern VA. Rain chances will be much lower well north of I-64. Highs will be in the upper 50s and low 60s.

Tuesday will be variably cloudy with highs around 70. A cold front will pass by later in the day and may trigger an isolated shower. Tuesday night will be cold with lows 35-40 in the metro, but outlying areas will be near freezing.

Wednesday will be sunny with highs in the 60s.

Our next system will bring rain Thursday into at least early Friday. Highs will be in the low 70s Friday into next weekend.
