RICHMOND, Va. -Early drizzle, mist, and fog today. Skies will be cloudy with afternoon showers. A slow-moving upper-level storm system will interact with increasing tropical moisture over the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic to bring rain back to Virginia this week.

We'll have the potential for a few showers and an isolated thunderstorm on Wednesday, but the better chances for rain will be Thursday and Friday. A cold front will move through the area on Saturday, bringing drier and milder air to the region.

A few showers will be possible along and ahead of the front Saturday, but Saturday evening through early next week will be dry. Low temperatures could fall into the 40s early next week. Stay With CBS 6, The Weather Authority.
