RICHMOND, Va. -- River flood warnings remain in effect for parts of the CBS 6 viewing area.
Light to occasionally moderate rain will continue through tonight, and will continue to be likely through the first half of the day Tuesday. Expect drier and milder weather Tuesday afternoon, with highs in the mid 60s. Wednesday will be a little cooler, with low rain chances in the afternoon and evening. The best chance of rain this week will be on Thursday as a strong cold front moves through the area. Moderate to heavy rainfall and a few thunderstorms will be possible.
A much colder air mass will pour into the region on Friday, keeping our weather chill Friday and Saturday. Some areas will fail to reach the 40-degree mark on Saturday, despite lots of sunshine. Models disagree on the pattern this Sunday, but there continues to be the potential for afternoon rain. We'll continue to track this pattern and keep you updated.
