RICHMOND, Va. -- The rain will return later tonight and there may be some thunder during the early morning hours. Lows will be in the upper 40s and low 50s.
Showers will exit early Sunday, followed by variably cloudy skies. It will be much warmer and rather breezy. Highs will range from the mid 60s northwest, to the mid 70s in the metro, to near 80 in southeastern VA. A disturbance will trigger a few widely scattered storms in the afternoon. A few storms could have gusty winds and some hail.
Monday will be a little cooler with highs in the 60s. There may be a shower, mostly in the morning. We will see a mix of clouds and sun in the afternoon.
Tuesday will be warmer with highs around 70. Once again, there will be a blend of clouds and sun, with the slight possibility of an isolated shower.
It will be much warmer again on Wednesday, with temperatures in the upper 70s to around 80. Our next storm system will bring showers and storms back to the area Wednesday evening into Thursday. Some lingering showers are possible on Friday.
At this time, it looks like next weekend will be nice, with sunshine and highs in the 70s.
