RICHMOND, Va. -- Tonight will be warm and muggy with lows in the upper 60s to mid 70s. An isolated shower or storm is possible.
The weekend will be muggy with the heat increasing. Highs Saturday will be in the mid 90s. The heat index will range from 100 to 105 degrees. A few scattered storms are possible, with the best chance in southeastern VA.
Highs will be in the mid to upper 90s Sunday and Monday. The heat index will break 105 in some locations, and heat advisories will likely be issued.
Highs will stay in the 90s for the rest of the week, and the maximum afternoon heat index will be near or a little above 100 degrees. Scattered storms will be possible each day.
There are no significant tropical disturbances in the Atlantic Basin.
