RICHMOND, Va. -- Rain will end this afternoon with patchy drizzle and fog persisting into the evening as low pressure off the coast pulls away from the region. A mix of sun and clouds is expected on Thursday, with highs returning to the upper 50s and low 60s. A warm front will move through the area Thursday night, bringing a very warm air mass into the region on Friday. A cold front will push through the area Friday afternoon, resulting in cooler weather on Saturday. A few showers will be possible Saturday, with rain likely across the northern half of Virginia. We'll see another big warm-up on Sunday with widespread low to mid 80s in the afternoon. Milder weather is expected for the first half of next week, with a strong storm system bringing showers and thunderstorms to the area on Wednesday.
