Early showers, then partly sunny and cooler

RICHMOND, Va. -- The rain will end in central Virginia and the Tidewater from west to east before sunrise today. Skies will become partly sunny and we will have a cool day with high temps in the upper 60s.

Expect and dry and cool weekend, with lows in the 40s and highs in the upper 60s and low 70s. A weak storm system will bring a slight chance of rain to the area on Monday.

We’ll have dry conditions for the rest of the week as a quiet fall pattern dominated our weather. A weak disturbance off the coast of Honduras and Nicaragua has a good chance of becoming our next named storm.
