A damp morning and cooler tomorrow

RICHMOND, Va. -- Our next system will bring rain (and some areas of fog) back to the area late tonight into the first half of Sunday. Rainfall totals will range between 0.25" to 0.5". Lows will be near 40 tonight, and highs Sunday will be in the middle 40s featuring mostly cloudy skies for the latter half of the day when dry conditions return.

It will be seasonably cool Monday and Tuesday with variably cloudy skies. A few disturbances may cause a shower in a couple of spots, on Tuesday, but many areas will stay dry.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny with highs in the lower 50s. Clouds will increase later Thursday with highs around 50.

Cool temperatures stick around next weekend with a chance of showers late Friday into Saturday. Sunday will be variably cloudy with highs in the lower to middle 40s and lows in the 20s.
