RICHMOND, Va. -- Strong high pressure will continue to settle into the region tonight, and temperatures could be the coldest we have seen so far this winter by Saturday morning.

Expect plenty of sunshine on Saturday, but temperatures will struggle to get into the low to mid 40s.

The air mass will modify on Sunday, with temperatures reaching the mid 50s under variably cloudy skies.

The warm-up will continue into early next week, with mid to upper 50s on Monday, and low to mid 60s on Tuesday.

A storm system will bring a chance of rain to the area Tuesday afternoon through early Wednesday morning.

The cold front associated with this storm system will move through the area Wednesday morning, ending our chance of rain for the rest of the week.

Partly to mostly sunny skies and cold weather is likely next Thursday and Friday.
