Gusty winds this evening

RICHMOND, Va. -- The cold front with gusty showers is in the process of exiting southeastern VA. We will clear out tonight with lows ranging from the upper 30s to the mid 40s.

Monday will be sunny with highs in the upper 50s and lower 60s.

A cold front will pass on Tuesday. It will be breezy with highs in the mid to upper 50s. Tuesday night will be quite cold with lows in the upper 20s/lower 30s in the metro, and low and mid 20s north and west.

Wednesday will be sunny and chilly with highs in the mid to upper 40s. Lows Wednesday night will be at or below freezing for most areas away from the immediate coast. Widespread 20s are expected, especially north and west of Richmond.

Highs will warm back into the mid 50s Thursday and the mid 60s Friday. Dry weather is expected through the end of the week.

Iota is strengthening into a major hurricane in the western Caribbean. It could be a category four hurricane when it strikes Central America Monday night. Landfall will be near or just south of the Honduras/Nicaragua border. More info is in the CBS 6 Interactive Tropical Tracker.
