A warm start to the holiday weekend

Tonight will be partly to variably cloudy with lows in the upper 50s and low 60s. Some patchy early morning fog is possible.

Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy on Sunday. A shower is possible well west of I-95 in the afternoon, with a few more showers and storms up in the mountains. It will be cooler with highs in the mid 70s in many locations, but it will stay in the 60s near the coast. Temperatures will reach near 80 across southside Virginia.

Memorial Day will be dry with highs near 80. High temperatures will then average in the low to mid 80s the rest of the week, with a few isolated storms possible Wednesday and higher rain chances Thursday and Friday. Unsettled weather may stick around into the early part of next weekend.
